When the theme was announced, I initially thought of something dark. I wanted to bring the possible light and happy theme of "Family" to a somewhat darker place, with a different meaning to it. I feel like I've done a pretty good job of that here, and I hope everyone will enjoy it.
Yesterday I finished up by adding a bullet for when the player shoots, removing some testing code, fixing bugs, added some music, and making some UI. Today I have mostly cleaned things up, fixed more bugs, and have added sound effects. I think the theme of "Family" does not come off as strongly as I would like, but I hope the player will be able to see a different sort of meaning to it.
